How the system works.

The system monitors the block temperature, and the designated low temperature.  Setting it initiates a start and smoothly transitions to high idle.  Once the block reaches the designated high teperature the system smoothly transitions to low idle and then shuts down the engine.  The system also monitors the battery level and will initiate a start if the battery reaches a critical low level. The system can also be configured to monitor air pressure level on air start systems. The system addresses safety concerns by monitoring the park brake, transmission, engine access and speed. If any fault is detected the system will not activate and if active, will shut down the equipment.

Dual Bunk Thermostat            
Works in conjunction with the TAS T211 System.

When it is set for sleeper comfort program, the system also starts and stops based on temperature in the bunk.   The thermostat remembers your set point and stores it in memory for both heating and cooling. (Set point is the desired temperature within the sleeper compartment). The display shows all information for thermostat operation.  Automatically seletct heating or cooling for high & low outside temperatures.  Depending on the ambient temperature, a Temp-A-Start controlled truck will idle up to 80% less, producing a similar reduction in fuel costs.

Light Tower Photocell 
How the system works.
The system monitors the block temperature, battery’s state of charge and the outside ambient light.  If needed, Temp-A-Start will initiate a start and smoothly transitions to high idle.  Once the reason for starting is satisfied,  the system smoothly transitions to low idle and then shuts down the engine.  The system can also be configured to monitor air pressure level on air start systems. The system addresses safety concerns by monitoring all system safety switches along with its dedicated internal software program. If any fault is detected, the system will not activate, and if active, will shut down the equipment.
